To kick off Spring Break this year, Jamie and I made a two-day trip out to Springdale to shoot the Arkansas & Missouri Railroad and their unique operations. As luck would have it, we arrived at Springdale yard in the early morning hours to find a Fort Smith Turn arriving with locomotive 71 pulling a cut from it's train into the yard.

As daylight struck, all three EMD SD70ACe locomotives were ready to depart with a Monett Turn. Chasing this train would be the main objective for the day, as we captured it's operations all the way to the interchange in Monett, MO.

After our adventure to Monett, we headed back south to Rogers to see what kind of ALCO operations we could find. To our surprise, the only operating ALCO C424 on the A&M was finishing up working a sand train in Rogers. By the time it departed for Springdale, the southbound Monett turn was already back, and it followed directly behind the sand train all the way to Springdale yard. To end off the day, we captured two C420s working an evening Springdale Switcher.

The next morning we find ourselves in a familiar setting as we shoot the same two C420s working a morning Springdale Switcher at the same spot. Afterwards we shot number 42 switching the yard, and a Passenger Excursion departing Springdale before ultimately Jamie and I parted ways and headed for home.

Thanks For Watching!
