Part 4 compilation of the devastating magnitude 7.1 earthquake that struck Mexico on September 19, 2017, at 1:24pm local time. Its epicenter was located about 55 km south of Puebla City, at a depth of 51.0 km, and had a maximum Mercalli intensity of IX, killing 370 and injuring 6,011 people. The Mexican states of Puebla and Morelos as well as the Greater Mexico City region suffered damage, including the collapse of more than 40 buildings as a result.This earthquake also coincidentally struck on the 32nd anniversary of the 1985 Mexico City earthquake, which claimed the lives of about 10,000 people.
