We caught this broken crossing gate on Ridgeview Drive in Warrensburg, MO with several trains coming!

Grade crossing signals are warning devices that are used at railroad grade crossings to alert drivers and pedestrians of an approaching train. These signals are designed to help ensure the safety of both trains and the public at grade crossings.

Grade crossing signals typically include:
Lights: These are typically red in color and are used to indicate that a train is approaching or that the crossing is active.
Bells: These are used to produce a loud, distinctive sound that can be heard by drivers and pedestrians.
Gates: These are typically used to provide a barrier across the roadway when a train is approaching.
The signals are typically activated by the train's approach and will continue to operate until the train has passed the crossing. They are usually controlled by a crossing controller, which receives input from track-side sensors that detect the approach of a train.
